The design shows a worship scene of three standing figures. On the right is a human worshiper with a long beard, wearing a robe to the feet with a bottom fringe. He raises the right hand with finger extended, the left hand is held out. Facing him are a god and goddess, both taller than the worshiper. They both wear long plain robes and hats with knobs on top, and both have a nimbus. The god, with big beard, is first, raising raising one hand and holding a mace with top knob in the other hand. A scabbard and some other item projects backwards from his waist. The goddess raises one hand and in the other holds a circlet. Items project backwards from the waist as for the god. A crescent appears in the sky, and there are four filling items: a bird, a fish, a rhomb and a spouted vessel. The whole design is placed between upper and lower rulings.
This is a Neo-Assyrian seal, c. 800-700 BC. It is finely engraved and in excellent state of preservation. Part of the original bronze pin remains in the hole.
