The jar is modeled as a pregnant female figure with prominent breast, kneeling on one knee, and wearing an alligator mask with appliquéd circles of clay for the round projecting eyes and a long snout with modeled nostrils and fangs. Ears or earplugs are also appliquéd circles of clay. Applied clay bosses indicate alligator hide scutes on the figure's feet. A pendant on a chord is appliquéd around the neck and held in the right hand that with the left hand is held against the swollen belly. An appliquéd cord runs from the bumps on the nose around the eyes to encircle the ears or earplugs. The facial mask and feet are unslipped.
