This majestic figure holds his club (perhaps a weapon of war) as if it were a royal scepter. His forehead rises to a tall, imposing hat, and on his face is a charming yet serious expression. However, his fierce grin makes him look very dominating and ready to see only success in his campaigns. Even in his nude state he appears regal and in complete control of himself and his surroundings, and it is likely in his own culture he was a tribal chief, a leader of men. In his other hand he is grasping a bowl, perhaps as a form of offering to the gods to appease them and have them on his side during a time of war. As with most kings, he seems used to the prerogatives of rank, which we are in no position to deny him.
