Does Rodin's famous sculpture "The Thinker" remind you of this work of art? If it does, it would help us to solve the mysterious meaning of this figurine. The artist has accentuated her high forehead and thick eyebrows. She wears a turban and beautiful earrings. Arm bracelets encircle her upper arm and a skirt with burnished orange slip swells to the curves of her legs and tummy. Her left hand embraces her breast while her right hand swings forward to rest her hand on her knee. She softly cups the tip of her chin with her hand. The artist has paid careful attention to her cheekbones and facial expression. Her expression may be perceived differently by each of us. This is the gift the artist has given to us. There is a special rhythm of harmony amongst all her gestures and body posture. The meaning of this figurine may remain a mystery, which is why we may appreciate her so much.
