This beautiful and highly original vessel shows a multitude of styles and features. Most striking is the hunchback effect of the figure with a slightly tilted head, uneven arms and a rather burdened expression on his face. The decoration is equally original with both geometric patterns and rabbit shaped animals along the feet and directly on the chest of the hunchback. It is often rare to find such originality in vessels dated this early in a culture. However, the artist was undoubtedly displaying his talent and his imagination as well as showing some of the realistic aspects of life in an early civilization. With such depictions of life before us, we are enabled to see both the beauty and the tragedies of life.
