This female figure depicts a very human pose. The woman has pulled her legs under her tunic, so only her feet appear. She is beautifully bejeweled and wears the remnants of what once a lovely costume. This piece, found in a tomb, was undoubtedly used to hold a small offering, perhaps a potion for fertility. What she once held is a mystery. But, her timeless poise and beauty is never a mystery.
