The central male figure wears an avian mask, its hooked beak has a loop at the end, thick beaded eyes, and spiral earspools. A headdress extends from both sides in the form of stylized crocodiles, where two small figures wearing avian masks are attached, each holding onto ropes while standing on the shoulders of the central male. Two full length stylized crocodiles provide a base for another pair of small males, and the larger figure, to stand upon. Finely braided bands or ropes interwine among the scrolls creating a flamboyant "baroque" effect. What may be depicted here is a shaman wearing an elaborate headdress during an important ceremony; or perhaps an abstract representation of a shaman/chief with his four attendants. The entire pendant is perfectly balanced, beautifully worked into an intricate arrangement of varying textures and inventive design.
