The colorful sling tied around the neck of this fascinating figure identifies him as a hunter, or perhaps a warrior. The horns on his head suggest that he is a shaman, a magic man who communes with the world of the spirits and who may have played a prominent part in the funerary ritual. Perhaps the sling is a weapon with which he will trimph over evil like some ancient American David slaying Goliath.
