His impossibly thin, aristocratic nose lends his face the regal power of a primitive idol, even as his elegantly abstract simplicity makes him very much at home in the modern world. It is obvious that he was an artistocrat in his own culture, and there is no reason why he should not enjoy the same status in our own.
