This large cup-shaped bowl has a broad, averted and slightly rolled mouth rim and rests on three zoomorphic legs. Each leg is formed from a loop of clay, which terminates in an animal head where it joins the bowl. The outer loops are decorated with reptile-like crests, and it can be seen where the fingers of the craftsman pressed the clay into these forms. The buff body of the clay is attractively painted with russet and black slips on the bowl area, but the looped legs are left matte giving the creatures a more naturalistic appearance.
