This amazing "chocolate pot" exemplifies the art of creativity. The artist has combined in this piece, strong symbols of fertility such as the frogs and the phallic motif on the legs alongside the quaint and humorous aspect of the work as a whole. The three rattle legs help to support a large gourd shaped vessel with a prominent flared lip. Around the body of the vessel is a series of applied geometric pieces, which come between each frog. The frogs themselves display a tremendous craftsmanship. They sit perched on the joins of the legs to the main body of the vessel. Their faces look straight up as if trying, in vain, to see over the edge of the pot. To recreate the scaly skin of these frogs, the artist has used an ingenious puncture style. The color has remained subtle, allowing the artists craft and intelligence to be seen entirely in all of its glory.
