Shallow vessels normally held the function of offering devices, which was an extremely important ritual in day-to-day life. Each foot represents a zoomorphic head, carefully painted and executed. The monochrome colors in the decoration, maintain simple earth tones, allowing the design that the artist had done to take precedence. The interior and exterior of the bowl have been carefully painted, while the painted edge allows for a finished appearance. The interior portion of the bowl shows a school of primitive and mysterious fish. The repetitive motion they show adds a distinct uniformity to the overall design. The geometric body and fearsome teeth is a very rare decoration and should be seen with great curiosity as well as interest. The ritual of the offering was a task of great importance, and the vessels that were a part of such a passage, shared equal importance within the ceremony.
