JB.1296. Lampstand, cast bronze with engraved decoration. Made-up of several parts: the polylobed base is provided with six shallow semicircular basins and rests on three paw-shaped feet; the sloping sides carry a pseudo-Kufic inscription and the basins have small roundels with floral patterns. The tall shaft is composed of five baluster-shaped elements, all displaying engraved inscriptions or vegetal patterns. The wide round tray on top has low side walls with a serrated top and a slanting rim which has epigraphic cartouches, interrupted by small roundels. Iran, Khorasan, 12th - 13th century.
