This globular bottle has a long neck that tapers towards the top terminating in a splayed hexagonal opening. The decoration consists of three rows of shallow ovals placed close together at even intervals, creating a honeycomb pattern. Grooves encircle the body just below and above the honeycomb pattern. The surface is weathered resulting in a beautiful pearly white irridescence.
The honeycomb decoration is derived from Sassanian models but the shape of the bottle is typically Islamic.
