The obverse of this lively bell krater depicts two draped dancing females, perhaps Maenads, and two dancing satyrs. The females wear ivy wreaths in their hair whilst the satyr to the far left is draped in a panther skin. Each figure carries a thyrsus except the female on the viewer’s right who pulls playfully at her peplos. The laurel motif adorns the band beneath the rim and a meander motif surrounds the band above the base. The reverse shows three heavily draped male figures; the figure on the far right gesticulates towards the other two.
