The stele depicts an enthroned Rama, the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, attended with his consort Sita, an avatar of goddess Lakshmi. Rama and Sita sit in the center, supported by Hanuman, a divine monkey and devoted companion of Rama, on their bottom. The divine ensemble is being venerated by an assembly of Rama's brothers and Hanuman. Especially, Hanuman himself kneels before his Lord and touches his foot, an act of profound respect. This steatite stele was probably for worship in a shrine.
