Each urn has a principal quadrangular panel depicting a courting couple dressed in Watteau style costumes whereas each of the secondary panels is decorated by scenes of pastoral countryside.
The urns stand on short rectangular plinths. Pinecone-shaped finials decorate the top of each lid. Capital "F" enclosed by crossed double Louis mark at the bottom, corresponding to the years 1758-175
