This beautiful vessel, designed in a tulip shaped form, discovers the variations of geometric and design patterning. One extremely original design is the rope pattern which can be found along the base of the neck. The same design is repeated at the top of the foot, adding symmetry to the overall design. The flared foot is decorated with a simple combination of dots, circles and lines. The entire earthenware piece is covered with decoration done in subtle earth tones, which allow the very best to be seen in this piece, including the central area which provides a beautiful decoration which is common in this region. Pieces such as this would have had an important role in social functions and would have been treated with care and respect, as we should treat it, so many generations later.
