The vase is modelled with a tulip-shaped body, the sides are decorated with two handles in the shape of mythical beasts, and the body is finely decorated with phoenixes in relief surrounded by carefully articulated geometrical motifs. The cover has a naturalistic shape, while the area below the decorations curves down into an extended cylindrical foot with a flat base. The style of the glass resembles similar vessels made in rock crystal.
