This emperor figure is seated on a throne in a powerful pose, with his right hand curled into a fist resting on his right knee, and his left hand resting palm down on his other knee. His legs are spread far apart and he leans forward with an air of readiness, as if prepared at any moment to rise from his seat. His fierce expression, with prominent wide eyes and a stern mouth, remind us of his strong character. His hair is gathered on the top of his head. His clothing is elaborate and impressive; there are cross-hatched panels on his chest, arms, and knees which are painted gold, and his lower skirt-like garment is decorated with black cloud-like or floral motifs on a red background. He is seated on a red throne, with gold carved dragons on the armrests and on both top corners of the back.
