A pair of large Sevres gilt bronze-mounted blue-celeste porcelain vases with lids. Both lids end in a gilt pine-cone shape finial. The main body of the vases has a pierced gilt-bronze rim and both handles are joined to the body by lion's head mounts. The main sides are decorated by pastoral courting scenes whereas the secondary sides are decorated by bouquets of flowers. Each of the scenes is enclosed within gilt vegetal cartouches on a white background. Flared foot mounted on a gilt-bronze rectangular base. Mark on the inner side of the lids is an "A" enclosed within double Louis, accordingly corresponding to ca.1753-1754
