This androgynous character squats dutifully before us as if prepared and resigned to carry out the tasks of the day. The hands rest on the knees while the face looks directly out as if thinking quietly. Perhaps this is due to the heavy burden that the person carries on his back. The design on the vessel is elaborate in polychrome geometric designs that include the vessel in the back. The two legs support the whole work and a third at the back, which has the image of a small animal, painted on it. There is no jewelry present, but the holes that the artist added may have once held earrings. As a whole, this vessel is very expressive, which comes to life with its decoration and its physical manner, trying to tell us something, yet leaving the answer to our imaginations and feelings.
