This bulb-shaped vessel is an example of craftsmanship that demands talent as well as artistry. It is partly decorated and partly sculpted, with the center of the vessel in the shape of a human head. The features are small, yet the detail has been done with great precision. The ears are decorated with earrings and the mouth is adorned with an elaborately painted decoration around it. The nose is small with small nostrils protruding. Both the rim and the foot of the vessel are well decorated with geometric band work within the boundaries of registers. At the back of this vessel, is a jaguar which clings precariously, however, the reason for the animal there is unclear?
