Most likely we think little of such money as it transits through our life and into that of others. Yet, something of us lingers, the faint glow of human energy that makes us unique from others. It is not a visible mark we leave upon the coin, but it is a genuine one nonetheless. When this silver denarius was circulating in just such a manner, Rome ruled the world. Citizens of her empire held this piece, and used it to change their lives in some way. When we hold it today, we add our own chapter to its long and fascinating history.
