Standing with great presence and beauty, this wonderful woman shows a new form of decoration technique which is very rare. Anatomically simple but correct, this angular shape with long, wide legs has absolutely no incised or sculpted decoration on her. Instead, she is completely covered by a painted decoration which takes on the familiar design of snake skin. Her face is carefully moulded, with wide and expressive almond eyes, topped with shapely eyebrows, a small nose and a small mouth which is partially open. However, the back of her is not painted or smooth suggesting that she was not intended to be seen in the round but solely from the front. Nevertheless, she remains a beautiful character, with charm and beauty, allowing us to become a part of history.
