Like animals from some wild gothic imagination, their bulging reptilian eyes stare at us while tongues lash the air, captivatingly close to the head of the woman. In contrast to the sharply defined features of the monsters, the benign face of the woman is veiled in a mist, evidencing her trance-like state. Confined within the dark parameters of her mind, she has succumbed to the gothic mysteries. She is no longer afraid. . . she is enlightened.
