He wears a round helmet with a chin-strap (from which a sprinkler spout protrudes), tube earrings, and a belted costume. It is not certain if this animal is a deity (like the Egyptian jackal-headed Anubis), a metaphor for man's fox-like cleverness and quickness, or simply the product of artistic whimsy. In its presence we are drawn into a world where the fantastic does not seem all that unusual.
