Holding two rattle shaped objects in his hands, this man stands before us in a proud and erect stance. Though the anatomy is done simply, his nudity displays a grace and uniformity otherwise non-existent with clothes. Without adornments, one is allowed to focus on such things as his face and the intricate details of his hair. The sculpted features are done with care, as is the careful looping and twisting of the hair. His eyes appear closed suggesting a pensive and serious demeanor. This is possibly suggestive of a ritual which is about to take place which he is preparing for. Nevertheless, though there are many questions pertaining to the ancient world, we are still enriched by the art, a tantalizing taste of the past.
