Ten cents a ride and an endless supply of dimes, an automated supermarket pony-rider drains the world of souls and pounds them into “products”. In this fantastic rendering entitled the naughty capitalist. The "pony" is comprised of a wild-eyed, eight-eared animal whose hooves are mechanical appendages from a not-too-distant, automated century. The hind end of the ride consists of a corpulent, cigar-smoking man who feeds the endless supply of dimes into a cup anchored to his navel, while a parade of innocent souls moves in a line beneath him. Flying about this imaginative scene are a number of recently created “products", winged humans toting briefcases and bags. Bizarre imagery with perhaps a note of prophecy appears before us in this painting, provoking our innermost feelings.
