In “Risen Above” we notice that something very powerful and violent is happening toward the bottom of the painting. However, the man, or spiritual being that is depicted seems to be rising above it all. He is very peaceful and content, almost in a state of unconsciousness. Or is he conscious and this is just a dream? His dream of afterlife. Or, is it perhaps reality after death?
