Made of wood this beautiful serving vessel has been intricately carved to emulate the features of a ram. The head of the ram is simply carved, yet the expression is impeccable. As the horns curve delicately around the ears of the ram the eyes peer out directly as if in anticipation. The neck is beautifully carved, each part as perfect as the other. The vessel itself is deep and oval in shape, while continuing similar grooves along the base. The solid wood form, the purity of line and simplicity of color enhances the overall sculptural effect of the piece, making it a pleasure to behold.
