The image of the human figure has been a great source of fascination since the beginning of time for every culture known. Yet expression remains key to the character of the piece. All the adornments, such as the headpiece, nose ring, armlets and earrings continue to exemplify his importance. Though anatomical correctness is not essential in such pieces, expression is.
