This beautifully smooth sculpture appears before us and we can only admire her delicacy. Her hands are on either side of her stomach, giving her a pose which makes her seem prepared to do or say something. However, her face is wistful. Her eyes seem to show a sadness that is carried on at her mouth, which is a tiny incision, yet it expresses so much. Her body decoration is very simple, yet extremely well executed. Diagonal lines cover a simple chain like necklace adorns the neck, while her arms and half of her torso. A small piece of cloth and fabric around the waist are the only type of clothes she is wearing. The contrast of the russet red decoration and the fine pale coloring of the clay make her an extremely rare and beautiful piece indeed, with a beauty that will continue to last throughout the ages.
