This Ancient Coin Has Been Set in a Modern 18 Karat Gold Rin
Situated on the southern coast of Thrace, about thirty miles east of Abdera, Maroneia was settled by colonists from Chios. The region was named after Maron, the legendary priest of Apollo, who features in Homer’s Odyssey as the bestower of gifts to Odysseus.
