This ancient coin is set in a superb 21 karat gold pendant created in the antique style.

The court historian Ammenius Marcellianus, writing in the 4th century, paints a picture of Constantine arrayed in gold and jewels, and tells of the brilliant impression he made on his contemporaries. As we look upon this serene coin portrait, we can detect the intelligence and ambition that made Constantine the sole ruler of the Roman Empire.
This token of the classical past is set in a radiant pendant whose craftsmanship and beauty are completely in the ancient style. It was popular at that time to set coin images in jewelry as a mark of political allegiance. Such a pendant might have adorned an aristocrat in Constantinople. The individual who wears this jewel today will be continuing in a great tradition, and is certain to make an impression as enduring as Constantine’s own.
