As someone's ancestor, she would have sat prominently in the home. Along her face, she has a variety of geometric designs, including across. Her arms, legs, stomach, back and even breasts are tattooed; yet they are all in a geometric pattern rather than a floral pattern. Her subtle polychrome coloring adds mystery to her beauty and a gentle quality to her strength and undeniable presence. The sculpture represented the able matriarch during her life and continues to make her an immortal enigma.
