Ocarinas are simple whistles that are a pleasure to listen to as well as to look at. This charming piece is deigned in the shape of a turtle with its head raised. The shell of the turtle is created with four holes symmetrically in the center, which allow the sound to change. The actual mouthpiece is the tail that also helps to support and balance the ocarina when it is not being used. The colors are earth tone and simple with only a simple red surrounding the shell and covering the two front feet. The face of the turtle is surprisingly expressive, with two large eyes, and a wide, serpent-like mouth. As a whole, it is both a beautiful object and an instrument that will be admired for many years to come.
