Glass has been a prized and sought after material for centuries. Its clarity, brilliance, translucency, and molten malleability appealed to ancient civilizations just as these qualities appeal to our modern aesthetic sensibilities. This small bottle has a flattened globular body, which terminates in a narrow neck. The narrow opening suggests that it was used as a spinkler for perfumed water, such as rosewater. The surface has a purple/pearly white patina caused by weathering over the centuries which lends the surface a wonderful texture.
