Jug, mould-blown yellowish-white glass; globular body, resting on a raised and splayed base, raised shoulder, tall funnel-shaped neck and a tall angled handle with a thumb-piece on top. The body is decorated by a series of moulded circular facets with a dot in relief inside each.
Iran, 9th – 10th century.
Ht. 15.5cm; Top diam. 6.5cm; Base diam. 5c Comparative material: A similarly decorated long necked bottle was published by Fukai, who dated it to the 10th century and claimed that it came from the Iranian highlands. Cf. Fukai, no.73.
