JB.1175. Mortar and pestle, cast bronze with engraved decoration. Cylindrical body decorated with series of almond-shaped elements in high relief, alternately turned up and down with a small rosette also in relief attached to the tips. At the base there is a geometric scroll in relief, while below the rim an epigraphic band, written in Kufic style, runs around. There is a matching pestle attached. Iran or Central Asia, 12th – 13th century.
