JB.1177. Mortar and pestle, cast bronze with engraved and copper inlaid decoration. The cylindrical body rests on a flat base and is decorated with series of almond-shaped elements in high relief which are alternately turned up and down and at their peaks within a triangle floral scrolls are engraved. Between two almond-shaped elements the signature of the maker’s name is incised: Abu Bakr. Below the rim an epigraphic band is running around over scrollwork inlaid with copper.
