Centuries ago, someone buried these stylized figures with magic spells and ceremonial curses, in the hopes of bringing ruin upon some enemy. Their animosity must have been very strong: the arms and legs of the figures are twisted to suggest bound prisoners buried alive--a shameful death. There is no denying the fascination these odd objects--mementos of some long forgotten feud--still hold. We can only hope that time has dissipated the power of their magic.
