This figure most probably was a shaman. A shaman becomes an actual vehicle to channel the supernatural through an ecstatic trance and spirit possession. The surface seems to radiate with its Ancient beauty and bold colors. The body is decorated with geometric patterns that symbolize majesty within the community. Its large, almond shaped eyes stare piercingly at the viewers, and the thin mouth seems to be closed to keep some kind of secret. This figure was a spiritual leader within his community. The hat he wears also explains that he is a shaman, because he communicated with higher beings through this. The artist once again shows this man's dignity by not painting clothes on him because in this culture only peasants wore clothes while they worked. His nakedness is socially acceptable for nobility. The composition of the figure is simple, yet radiates a tremendous aura of divinity and sanctity.
