Interest in the members of the community that were unusual was a common subject in Costa Rican art. This interesting vessel becomes the center of a human figure, kneeling on one knee. The head however, is more in the center of the vessel and is proportionately smaller than the limbs. The decoration and attention to detail is incredible with geometric ornamentation encompassing the whole top half of the vessel. The face is filled with expression, demonstrating the great craftsmanship of these artisans of the past.
