This bronze sculpture of a standing male is very much symbolic in its form. Its disproportionate physicality creates an unusual sense of ambience, giving the sculpture a distinct personality. The sculpture has an oval face with cigar-shaped eyes. The designed, large scarification are placed below each eye and the protruding mouth reveals the teeth in detail. The top half portion of the body is flat and it is enhanced with incised pattern of circular shapes. A coiling disk radiates out rays from the position of heart and semi-circles form the ouline of the flat top portion. Such designation of circular symbols with rays perhaps identify this sculpted man as a person of importance, possibly possessing a spiritual power. The thin arms seems to indicate motion, as it is about to grab something. In contrast to the flat, fragile top portion, the figure's legs are more realistic and the protruding belly is rather large, full of small, incised circles. Such exaggerated contrast of physical features attributes the sculpture with esoteric but distinct symbolic trait that stimulates one's interest and curiosity. Moreover, he wears a woven belt, from which a sharp arrowhead is hanging. Having his weapon readily available and adorned with symbolic marks, this beautifully sculpted figure was perhaps a significant warrior of status in Cameroon.
