The stones, feathers, teeth and claws that adorned early cultures eventually gave way to an array of amulets whose powers were as varied as their forms. This superb little token represents the head of a bull, a creature symbolic of strength, power, and virility. The person who wore it long ago may have sought the blessings of such a deity, or it may have ensured a robust masculinity.
