The smooth surface of this bracelet is as elegant as the gentle curve of its form. It is shaped into a perfect ellipse with the ends extending beyond the center. This serves to give the form more 'movement', as a sort of 'invitation' to the eyes to following the ring around and around. There is a tapering at the narrow ends which gives a slight angular appearance in contrast to the rounded effect. Bracelets such as this one were worn as ornaments, and used as a form of currency. From an artistic point of view, the shape is so perfect and pleasing it has the 'feel' a sculpture by Henry Moore.
