Oval shaped, this handsome bracelet bends in the middle, curving upwards, with the tapering two ends extending beyond the center. The upper portion is segmented into four rows, each incised with a serrated pattern. Six ridged bands containing the same pattern run vertical to the horizontal course of the main ring. The thick ends of the bracelet culminate in the meeting of these ridges and rows. Such bracelets as this one were not only used as ornaments, but also as a form of currency. The wearer could therefore be instantly identified as someone of wealth depending upon the number of bracelets they displayed. Aesthetically, its simple but elegant shape offers a continuous flow of movement, interrupted only by the short band, which then sets the eye in motion again, twirling around and around with its own inner force.
