The widespread arms and fierce glare of this fascinating figure suggest that he may be invoking protection against evil. The suspension holes in his headdress indicate that he may once have hung on a wall, guarding a household. Since his intentions were so good in the ancient world from which he comes, we can assume that his magic is still strong in our own.
