A large Hellenistic terracotta statue of a Goddess. She is shown wearing a chiton, draped in a himation, holding a flaming staff, and wearing a large crown. She might represent Tyche and was most likely a votive figure. These finely moulded figures, often highly decorated, rose in popularity during the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. Common themes include fashionable women, gods and goddesses, heroic athletes, and bacchanalian merriment.
